Another guy with an AMAZING set of custom-car-building / fabricating skills, putting together his own 'big black car'!(He can't call it by it's more 'well-known' name, or he'd be sued out of existence!)----Man-oh-man, do I SO wish I could do something like THIS!----

Getting into the 'Holiday spirit', in my own GEEKY way!

This Christmas season, our extended family,(meaning all of the 'in-laws-and-out-laws' within my wifey's family!) is going to be starting a new tradition this year. The 'ugly Christmas sweater' contest! Of COURSE--- 'ol Loydster being the all-the-way GOOF-BALL-GEEK-A-ZOID, I immediately went into 'mad-scientist' mode, and began working on something that would feature my ALL-TIME favorite superhero!

One 'hardly-EVER-worn' sweat-shirt, some hunks of variously colored felt, and some fabric-glue--- were pretty much all the ingredients needed, to put together the latest item that's yet AGAIN proof-positive--- that I am INDEED a SUPREME (Bat) geek, WITHOUT SHAME!----

And--- here's the PROUD creator of this little piece of  'Christmas from Gotham City', modeling the front AND back of the finished 'MASTERPIECE'!---

Yes indeedy! I don't even CARE if I win the contest or not! I had a BLAST coming up with the idea for the sweater, and putting it all together! In fact, I may just keep doing this each holiday season---- whether the family keeps this contest going after this year or NOT! I am THAT geeky, and I am THAT SHAMELESS about it,folks!  Merry Christmas everybody!

Some VIDEO of the 'stairway to the Secret Sanctum'!

We just recently snagged another little camcorder, here at 'Supreme Ferrell Headquarters'! That OF COURSE opens up the potential for a TON of  cool, fun, GEEK-tastic VIDEO posts from the 'ol Loydster! Keep on the look-out for the occasional 'goof-ball dispatch', from somewhere 'in the wilds of Okie-land'!

This little not-quite 5-minute 'masterpiece', is actually a segment of a video I recently shot for my old buddy, Jeff Arnold. This is what anybody heading up to the apartment over the old garage (where my little 'man-cave' is located, of course!), will see as they go up the stairwell! They won't always have me narrating / describing stuff though--- like I'm doing here! Let's 'get our GEEK on', shall we?---

I've been doing some rearranging of items out in the stairwell that leads up to my little hidey-hole up over the garage, these last couple of weeks. Mostly popping stuff back into frames that I'd had up previously, as well as digging stuff out of storage I'd nearly forgotten about! Now, even MORE GOOFY-GEEKY stuff is hanging up in that area than EVER!

Then, it jumped out at me--- In nearly ALL of the versions of  a 'rumpus room' / 'man-cave' I've had over the years, I've NEVER put up a sign. I mean the type of sign that would let visitors know JUST what kind of 'GEEK-A-ZOID' area they were about to enter!

So---- after a little digging around, I found a previously painted, 1-by-6 inch, by (approximately) 24 inch-long board (oh, as well as a segment of another, metal sign!)--- laid-out some lettering, broke out the 'ol paint-pens.... and: 'WHAM'! Here's what folks will see as they go up (as well as back DOWN!) the stairs that lead up to my little 'Supreme Crime-Fighting Headquarters'!----

Now, whatever visitors I have, on their way up to my little 'Hall of Justice', will know it's the type of place where they'll NO DOUBT, be 'getting their GEEK on'!!!

Loyd's BONUS video-clip!!---#26!!-- They were a ROCKIN' little 4-piece LIVE band too!!

Yes-indeedy, that little band from Liverpool, happens to be one of the Loydster's ALL-TIME favorite groups! While cruising around on the EVER-surprising treasure-trove that is Youtube, I found THIS little gem!

What is REALLY cool about this clip, is actually a couple of things! One, you can actually HEAR them play and sing! MOST of the live clips I've seen over the years,seem like recordings of vast crowds of screaming young girls, the guys silently mouthing their tunes, with their instruments turned OFF!

Second, this clip reminds me--The Beatles were a ROCKIN', TIGHT-and-RIGHT little 4-piece band! Especially in their early years! This tune, from the soundtrack to 'A hard day's night', is absolute PROOF of that! Go ahead, just TRY not to at least bop your head a little and tap your foot while listening to it! I dare  you!!!---
